Kendziorski scores twice in Alpena boys soccer loss

TRAVERSE CITY-Zach Kendziorski scored twice, but the Alpena boys soccer team fell on the road against Traverse City Central on Tuesday 5-2.

Kendziorski’s goals were his first two scores of the season and both came on throw-ins by Mitch Mead.

“We played a good game. They got two goals in the last five minutes to widen the margin, but they’re probably the best team we’ve played all year,” Alpena coach Tim Storch said.

Alpena is 0-6 on the season and 0-3 in Big North Conference play. The Wildcats return home today to host Sault Ste. Marie at 5 p.m.
