Not happy with comments made by first lady

“We can’t waste this spotlight, it is temporary and life is short and change is needed and women are smarter than men. And the men can’t complain because you’re outnumbered today…,” First Lady Michelle Obama said during the recent U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 5, 2014. She was speaking about the role of First Lady with Laura Bush, a former First Lady.

“Women are smarter than men.” Let’s change the wording a bit. Whites are smarter than blacks. Asians are smarter than whites. Conservatives are smarter than liberals. Republicans are smarter than Democrats. Children attending private schools are smarter than children attending public schools. I wonder what my liberal Democrat friends think about comparisons such as the one she made. Are they as offended as am I? Various “news” organizations described her statement as being a “joke.” Am I, as a white male, allowed to joke about the comparisons which I have made above?

Also, as a man, I am “outnumbered” according to Mrs. Obama. That would mean that I am a “minority,” does it not? As a member of a minority, what tax-payer entitlements can I receive? Also, is she implying that any group who is outnumbered does not have the right to complain?

Is our First Lady a sexist? Her comments were made on 5 August, 2014 and can be confirmed via the Associated Press.
