Robert “Bobby” Cameron Kruse, 51, of Alpena, went to the hands of our Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, after a valiant fight with lung cancer, surrounded by his family and friends.

Robert was born Sept. 28, 1962, in Alpena to the late “Ned” and Lila (Lee) Kruse. He was a 1980 graduate of Alpena High and served in the U.S. Army while stationed in Germany. Bobby was a talented musician, guitar player, singer, and very passionate about his “Harley.” He had been employed as a commercial painter, retiring in 2003 due to rheumatoid arthritis.

Surviving are three children, Cameron “Doodlebuggers,” Justin (Sara), Janee “Bayners”; three grandchildren that were his pride and joy, Asher, Vincent, Sophia; five siblings, Nathalie (Tim) Bell, Joseph (Emily) Kruse, Michael (Diane) Kruse, John (Kara) Kruse, Andrew (Corie) Kruse; his girlfriend, Kim Poirier and her family, Alisha, Ashley “Lilbit”; special friend, Lori Stevens; uncle, Ted Kruse; aunt, Rosemary Kruse; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were a sister, Anna Marie, and a brother, Edwin Lloyd, who were stillborn.

Memorial visitation will take place Saturday at the Bannan Funeral Home from 12 noon until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m.
