Several area runners compete in Saturday’s 33rd annual Nautical Run in Rogers City

ROGERS?CITY-The 33rd annual Nautical Run, which took place last Saturday in Rogers City, was blessed with warm, clear weather and plenty of runners vying for the top position.

This year, Brendan Koss came in first place in the one mile run/walk with a time of 6:09.

Koss was the overall winner for this event.

Halee Witkowski took first place honors for the women racers, finishing with a time of 6:54.

Joseph Newcomb finished first overall in the 6K race with a time of 18:53.

Former Alpena runner Elaine Lowe won with a women’s course record time of 21:26.

This year’s Nautical Run was hosted by the Rogers City High School Cross country team.
