P.I.G.S. Invitational

The ThunderCats 14U Green went 5-1 during the P.I.G.S Invitational while taking home the championship in Rogers City.

The ThunderCats dropped the opening game to Line Drive Gold 6-0. The Cats were only able to put together four hits. Kennedy Lundquist had a double, while Lizzie Kendzoirski, Hunter Lundquist, and Jessica Marwede each had singles.

The ThunderCats beat the Presque Isle Panthers Black 9-0. Morgan Dove got the win, striking out four and allowing just three hits. Jasmyn Schutlz and Taylor Kunath had two hits apiece, including a double by Schultz.

The Cat then defeated the Presque Isle Panthers Pink 12-7. Morgan Armon led the Cats with four hits, a triple and three singles. Sherice Mousseau and Kunath had three hits including a triple by Kunath.

To finish pool play the ThunderCats Green defeated the ThunderCats White 9-3. Marwede and Schultz each had two hits including a triple by Marwede.

To start bracket play there was a rematch between the two ThunderCat teams, after the ThunderCat White had beaten the Presque Isle Panthers Pink to make the semifinals. The ThunderCats Green defeated the ThunderCats White 13-2. Taylor Fleming had two singles and a triple, while Hunter Lundquist, and Mousseau each had two singles. Mousseau got the win allowing just three hits in five and a half innings pitched.

In the Championship game the Cats defeated Line Drive Gold 3-2. Dove got the win allowing just two hits. Schultz led the ThunderCats with two hits including the game winning hit that would drive in Kunath.
