Matthew Johnson, 35, of Alpena passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Alpena Regional Medical Center due to a heart attack. Matt truly loved life and the people around him. This was evident by the way he offered a shoulder to anyone who needed it. His sudden passing leaves an empty void in the hearts of many.

Matt is survived by his father; Kevin “Jay” Johnson, his mother; Cindy (Duane) Cramer, wife; Apryl Johnson, two sisters; Melissa (Justin) Rondeau, Sarah (Mike) Parrish, son; Bradley, three nephews; Brenden Rondeau, Kevin and Ken Parrish, Uncle Dale Hiske, “Grandma” Sally Liske, and close friend Maggie Lamb. He is preceded by his son; Hunter, and his uncle Tim Hiske.

Visitation for Matt will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at McWilliams Funeral Home Alpena with Rev. Arnie Kirschner officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
