Audrey Juola, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 1, 2014. She passed on from Hospice House in Bradenton, Fla. She was born on April 27, 1935, to Jack and Aili Rintala in Eveleth, Minn. She lived most of her life and raised her family in Alpena. She and her husband, Jon, spent winters in Bradenton, Fla.
Audrey was instrumental in bringing many northern Michigan families the joy of adoption when she placed babies with them during the 20 years that she worked at Catholic Family Services in Alpena. In addition to her family, she loved home decorating and baking delicious goodies for family and friends.
Audrey will be missed by her husband, Jon Juola, her children, Tyra Szpara of Grand Ledge, Mich., Tammy Juola of Muskegeon, Mich., Jon Juola of Bradenton, Fla., Julie Exline of Solon, Ohio, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on July 12, at Huron Shores Fellowship in Alpena. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Gideons International (101 N. Industrial Highway, Alpena, MI 49707 for memorial Bibles.
