Kellogg Youth Fund grants announced

In June, the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan approved the following grants from the Kellogg Youth Fund as recommended by the Youth Advisory Council.

Alpena County Grants

1. Grace Lutheran Church -awarded $2,500 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for a National Relief Network Mission Trip

2. Alpena Public Schools-FIRST Robotics -awarded $1,769 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for the Youth Robotics & STEM Program.

3. Northern Lights Arena -awarded $1,800 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for the Learn to Skate program.

4. Alpena Public Schools -awarded $1,369 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for the POWER Rewards program.

5. Alpena Public Schools -awarded $450 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for the There is POWER Around Us program.

Alcona County Grants

6. Harrisville Arts Council -awarded $300 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for Live Art at the Harbor

7. Mikado Township awarded $276 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for the Bruce Park Playground.

8. Food Bank of Eastern Michigan awarded $1,000 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for the Alcona Backpack Program

9. Alcona Community Schools awarded $800 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for the Renovation of Maple Syrup Production Equipment.

Montmorency

County Grants

10. Hillman Community Schools-awarded $1,300 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for the Library Restoration and Revival.

11. Montmorency County 4-H Fair Association -awarded $1,078 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for 2014 Fair Free Activities for Kids.

Presque Isle

County Grants

12. Posen Consolidated Schools-awarded $200 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for Photo Scanner-Novels

13. Village of Posen -awarded $500 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for the Posen Village Playground Porta-Potty

14. Northeast Michigan Community Partnership -awarded $614 from the Kellogg Youth Fund and the Eugene J. & Helen T. McLean Fund for the Rogers City Natural Helpers program.

15. COP-ESD awarded $1,500 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for Great Start Preschool Scholarship.

16. Case Township awarded $757 from the Kellogg Youth Fund for a Summer Youth Program.

Additional funding for Youth Advisory Council grants benefitting Rogers City residents is available from the Eugene J. & Helen T. McLean Fund.

The next grant cycle application deadline is Nov. 1.
