Cynthia “Cindy” Dee Stevens, 56, of Alpena, died Monday, June 2, 2014.

Cindy was born June 27, 1957, in Maryville, Mo., to Paul and Helen (Drennen) Ward. She married James Stevens on Sept. 13, 1975, in Westboro, Mo. A loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother, her family was the most important thing in her life.

Surviving is her husband, Jim; three children, Nathan (Samantha) Stevens, James Dustin “Skip” Stevens both of Alpena, Ashley (Joel) Travis of Greenbush, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Kelli, Cagney, Bubba, Savanah, Cody, Allie, Reid; two sisters, Becky (Lonnie) Kuhns of Rockport, Mo., Terri Masterson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Ed (Cathy) Ward of Weatherby, Mo.; her brother-in-law, Terry Stevens and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Helen Ward and her in-laws, Herb and Ruth Stevens.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at McWilliams Funeral Home – Alpena from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. with Terry Stevens officiating. Please visit Cindy’s personal web page at
