Be safe and responsible when it comes to alcohol
We have entered that time of year when graduations are numerous, the end of school is fast approaching and people are able to get outdoors again and enjoy the weather.
It is a time for celebration!
As we write that, we quickly follow that sentence up with this one – as you celebrate, remember to do so responsibly.
As tempting as it might sound to do otherwise, that means please, no underage drinking.
We would urge parents who are hosting parties in the weeks ahead to not “look the other way” when it comes to alcohol consumption. We would remind parents to have a sincere conversation with their teenagers about the expectations this time of year.
All of us probably know of a tragic story that occurred this time of year that was related, in some form, to alcohol.
We don’t want to write a new one locally.
This year be safe. Be responsible. Be sober.
