Mary J. Koseba, age 76, of Alpena Twp., passed away May 26, 2014, at home surrounded by her family.

Mary was born on Feb. 5, 1938, to Clarence Robarge and Elizabeth “Toots” King in Rogers City, Mich. She was married on June 26, 1954, in Rogers City, Mich., to Leo L. Koseba who preceded her in death Aug. 27, 2006. Mary was a dietician at Pierce Nursing Home in Alpena, and later in Hillman, Mich. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella for 30 years, VFW Auxiliary, and served on the Mental Health board for 32 years before retiring in 2010.

Mary is survived by her five children, Elizabeth “Liz” (Jim) Baldwin of Fremont, Ind., Leo (Grace) Koseba of Alpena, Georgie Broad of Grand Haven, Mich., Julie (Greg) Skiba of Alpena, Christine (Brian) Blaski of Muskegon, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Tracey, John, Caitlyn, Shawn, Paul, Mary, Austin, Amber; four great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon, Bella and Trenton; one great-great-grandson Braxton; one brother, George Robarge of Alpena; one sister, Jean (Randy) Neumann of Alpena; several nieces and nephews and dear friend, Merl Faucett.

Mary is preceded in death by one sister, Joanne Furhman, and one brother, Peter Robarge.

Per her wishes, Mary has been taken from the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for cremation.

Friends and family will gather at the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home Friday, May 30, 2014, with visitation from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Memorial service will follow at the Karpus-Hunter Chapel at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014, with Rev. Richard Schaeffer officiating.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeast Michigan.
