Lewandowski artwork selected for two national exhibitions

Artwork by professional artist E.P. Lewandowski has been selected for two national exhibitions. His piece, entitled “Falling Water II,” was selected for the Wings & Water Exhibition in Prairie du Sac, Wis. A second selection, entitled “Streamside Cove II,” was recently announced by the Colored Pencil Society of America for the 22nd Annual International Exhibition and Convention in Ormond Beach, Fla.

“I’m pleased to be part of both of these national competition events,” Lewandowski said. “The announcement by the Colored Pencil Society of America is particularly satisfying for several reasons. First, the competition is international and any recognition is considered special. Secondly, after three years of successful juried selection to their international competition, a special artist designation, CPSA Signature status, will be assigned to me.”

Lewandowski is represented in his home state of Michigan and throughout parts of the United States. In support of his role as a professional artist, he continues to host a workshop schedule for beginning, intermediate and advanced students working with the colored pencil medium. This summer he will be hosting two workshops at Art in the Loft in downtown Alpena.

In late September he will be the featured workshop artist at the MIDWEST 2014 Colored Pencil Competition and Exhibition in Mt. Clemens. This is a 16-state event that is being hosted by the Detroit Chapter of the Colored Pencil Society of America.

Lewandowski and his wife, Mary, reside along the Thunder Bay shoreline in Northeast Michigan. For more information about the artist, go to his website at www.erwinplewandowski.com.
