Alpena track teams compete in TC

TRAVERSE CITY- The Alpena boys and girls track teams competed in a Big North Conference tri-meet with Cadillac and Traverse City Central on Wednesday.

Team scores were unavailable at press time and the meet was suspended for an hour due to thunderstorms.

Drew Shields’ win in the 400 dash (52.41) and a first-place finish for the boys’ 1,600 relay team (Shields, Gavin Aikens, RJ Centala and Clay Jacobs, 3:43.49) were Alpena’s only wins on the day.
