Council needs to rethink elections savings

Ten thousand dollars every two years. Apparently three members on the City Council want to avoid having a lot of people voting in city elections. They also suggest we the public are too ignorant to understand long ballots. You would think that these officials would want a greater voter turnout and have a greater confidence in the voting public. If the real issue is length of terms as express by member Sexton, then I would suggest they shorten or lengthen the terms of council members in order to achieve the cost savings.
