ROGERS CITY-The Rogers City girls basketball team improved to 14-5 on Tuesday with a win over Presque Isle County rival Onaway, 57-26.

Rogers City set the tempo early and led 13-7 after one quarter and 25-14 at halftime. The Hurons upped their lead to 40-20 after three quarters.

Logan Fleming led Rogers City with 18 points and Courtney Streich added 17 points.

Lexi Szymoniak and Jade Galer each had six points for Onaway.

Rogers City plays at Hillman on Thursday.

Fairview 58, Alba 10

ALBA-Logan Winton scored 14 points and the Fairview girls basketball team earned a 58-10 win over Alba on Tuesday.

Winton was one of three Fairview players in double figures. Katie Ford added 12 points and Alyson Winton had 10.

Fairview (12-7) had a 39-5 lead at halftime.

The Eagles play at Posen on Thursday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Atlanta 56,

Fairview 42

ATLANTA-Jacob Chambers scored 21 points and the Atlanta boys basketball team defeated Fairview 56-42 on Tuesday.

Atlanta (9-4) led 28-19 at halftime and 42-25 after three quarters.

Taylor Juergens added 11 points for the Huskies.

Hudson Szubelak paced Fairview (2-12) with 23 points and Austin Handrich added 11.

Mio 64, Rogers City 17

MIO-Four Mio players scored in double figures and the Thunderbolts improved to 14-2 after a 64-17 win over Rogers City on Tuesday.

Seth Thomey and Bryce Degrammont each had 13 points for Mio, Ben Lubitz added 11 and Aaron Georgieff had 10.

Mio jumped out to a 27-0 lead after one quarter and cruised from there, leading 42-9 at the half.

Alex Darga and Chris Lopez each had seven points for the Hurons (1-16).
