Editorial: Merry Christmas Northeast Michigan
Tomorrow we celebrate Christmas. Gifts will be opened, stockings unstuffed, and laughter will fill the day for families all across the area. We celebrate family, friends and love with gatherings filled with joy.
But let’s not forget the real meaning of Christmas. It’s a day Christians around the globe celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It’s a time to celebrate, to reflect on our blessings, and to look to the future with anticipation and confidence.
We look back on a year filled with ups and downs, highs and lows; and this season – the season to celebrate Christ’s birth – gives us hope. As we celebrate our savior’s birth, we do so with an anticipation of what is to come and we do it with hope.
Like everyone, we hope for a better tomorrow, for peace on earth, and that those who are lost can find their way. This is the time of year where such hopes and dreams are more than just sentiments, they are goals of all mankind.
We hope that all of your hopes and dreams come true, and your tomorrow is better than today.
