Former Alpena man arrested in CSC case

ALPENA – A father and two sons, who formerly lived in Alpena, were arrested in Mackinaw County on multiple charges of criminal sexual conduct stemming from an investigation, which began August 2012.

Alpena County Sheriff’s Deputy Cash Kroll said James William Freese Jr., is wanted for 12 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct issued by the Alpena County Prosecutors office. Freese has lived in Mackinac County, Alpena County, and Florida. He turned himself in Friday after authorities released his mug shot and information that he was being sought.

His father, 58-year-old James William Freese and brother, 29-year-old son, Andrew Joseph Freese, were arrested Oct. 25, and have since bonded out, Kroll said. James Freese was arrested for five first-degree criminal sexual conduct warrants. Andrew Joseph Freese Jr. was arrested on two counts of criminal sexual conduct.

Kroll said he could not be specific about the charges, because Freese Jr. not been arraigned yet.

Both father and son have bonded out, the deputy said. Freese Jr. is being held on a $100,000 cash surety bond.
