Stocking Fish

Pete Duffton, first officer of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service’s vessel Spencer F. Baird, watches as a load of lake trout fingerlings are piped into the boat’s tanks. The boat took on 90,000 fish on Saturday, to be stocked off Thunder Bay’s South Point. It’s one of four trips the vessel will make, stocking a total of 400,000 fish in the bay.
