We need to have tougher penalties for abusers

I heard on the radio that there was going be pinwheels and ribbons on the lawn of Social Services in support of prevention of child abuse. That is all well and good but maybe the citizens of this state and county should put pressure on legislators to make tougher penalties for child abusers. The state needs to spend the money to employ enough CPS workers to investigate child abuse and neglect. Judges need to be more responsible and remove kids from abusers instead of allowing them to keep their kids. Children that are victims of abuse have to live with the effects their whole lives. Pinwheels and ribbons won’t change that.
