It’s time for a little cooperation in Washington

James Orr – look at history – The Great Depression was a time that we must prevent from happening again.

Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton were able to work with Congress by raising taxes for revenue and compromising for the good of all.

The 112th Congress had the approval rating of a cockroach and now, 113th Congress doesn’t understand the word compromise either, and isn’t able to do what is right and just. They’re misguided, Mr. Orr.

We went from a Triple A rating down to a Double A rating because congress keeps kicking the can down the road, adding one crisis after another..

Boehner and McConnell are more afraid of losing their part time jobs and perks, working only 126 days out of the year, than stand up to the Tea Party of Just Say No.

The G.O.P. came up with closing tax loopholes and now are back tracking because of the opposition of the Tea Party.

The Republican Governors are raising taxes on the middle class and seniors because they need revenue for their states while giving tax breaks to the big business as George Bush Jr. did at the federal level, which put us in this mess in the first place, not paying for two wars, adding to the debt, putting us in a sink hold.

The Obama administration wants to do what Reagan and Clinton were able to do with a Congress that was willing to work together and pay the bills they created faster, not passing the buck while jeopardizing a fragile economy.

Proverbs 31:8 Speak out for those who cannot speak for the rights of all the destitute.

The G.O.P. is losing its compassion for the downtrodden. They need to listen to their hearts, not the Tea Party extremists.

Obama’s second term, that’s reality.
