Blues Festival holding design contest

The Alpena Blues Coalition is accepting logo design entries for the 10th Annual Alpena Blues Festival. The winning design will be the primary logo for the festival T-shirts, posters, flyers, programs, and other festival advertising.

The contest winner will receive two weekend passes to the festival, a festival T-shirt, and acknowledgement as logo designer.

Guidlines are:

  • the image should represent the Alpena Blues Festival, be easily reproduced, colorful and graphically appealing;
  • the image must include the five items: 1) 2013, 2) 10th Annual or 10th Anniversary, 3) Alpena Blues Festival, 4) June 21 and 22 and 5) www.alpenablues.com;
  • the images can be up to two colors and should be easily reproduced on different colored backgrounds, including black and white backgrounds;
  • lettering must be of sufficient size to be identifiable and easy to read.

All entries, images and artwork become exclusive property of the Alpena Blues Coalition and may be altered slightly for reproduction purposes. An entry will be used by the Alpena Blues Coalition for promotional purposes only. Submitting an entry to this competition constitutes an agreement with all conditions.

The deadline for submissions is April 15.

Please submit entries via email as an attatchment in JPEG form to logocontest@alpenablues.com. All entries will be numbered and recorded and the voting committee of the Alpena Blues Festival will not see the entrant’s names until after the final selection is made.
